How it all started...
Some years ago, we noticed an
advert in our naturist club's
magazine. A drawing class was
looking for some nude models for
their upcoming course. "Why not
give it a try?", we thought. Hiring
some professional nude models
was out of the question for the
guys from the drawing classes... they simply didn't have the financial
resources to do so. As they weren't looking for some Playboy or
Playgirl sized models, they decided to contact a naturist club as they
thought that would be the easiest way to contact some people who
dared to strip in front of all these drawing students... However, very
soon they realized only a few naturists were prepared to help them...
we happened to be among those people.
Some of these guys knew some amateur photographer who had also
been looking for some low budget models and after a while we were
asked if we would be prepared to act as models for photographs. One
of the advantages of photographing is that you don't have to keep the
same position for an hour or more... on the other hand it seemed to us
one needed a bit more courage to strip in front of a camera... after
some discussion we agreed... whow... that would be a brand new
experience!

Acting as nude models on a hot summer day at the beach
sure was far more enjoyable than doing the same in some
hardly heated garage which had been transformed to a
small studio on a cold winter afternoon...
Other amateur photographers might indeed have been
looking for perfect shaped models... the money we received
from acting as models could barely compensate our travel costs and
as we had some small kids at that time, several years elapsed during which
we did not act as models at all.
Back in 2001 we got an e-mail from an amateur photographer in Ostend asking if we would
consider acting as nude models for him. As years since our previous modeling had gone by, we
honestly felt very unsure if we would really do that... after all... we aren't youngsters anymore! Some
telephone calls convinced us to give it a try and an old factory was chosen as location.
Since her Ostend adventure, Else has done some modeling for several amateur photographers. Although
Egbert joins Else on some pictures, most photographers simply want Else as a model, something which we
fully understand ;)
Some guys own a studio which professional photographers would be jealous of. Photoshoots can take place
either in the amateur's studio or on location... weather permitting, of course.
The digital revolution is here to stay and as the cost of digital cameras significantly dropped during the last
few years, lots of people purchased one. The compact ones are fun and easy to handle.
Although most of these users aren't "real" amateur photographers in a strict sense, the idea of getting a
model in front of their cameras can be appealing to them. Recently, Else received several such requests... to
which she agreed. Some of these occasional photographers have bright ideas about locations etc... often,
we're truly amazed by the quality of their photoshoots... let alone the fun of it ;-)
