Croatia, Slovenia & Bosnia-Hercegovina
For several subsequent years, we spent our summer holidays on the Croatian Istrian peninsula. Istria offers
the tourist a great mix of sightseeing and lazy sunbathing. Furthermore, the region has been famous for its
naturist facilities even during times when it still belonged to Yugoslavia. En route to Istria we took the time to
visit some Slovenian highlights and one day we also headed for Bihac in Bosnia Hercegovina.

Normandy (France)
During subsequent years we rented a caravan. Early 2003 we finally bought our own - second hand -
caravan. During Easter holidays we made a trip to Normandy in France where we visited the landing
beaches from WW II.

Crete Island (Greece)
Our exploration of Crete dates from June 2006. The one and only naturist resort on the island - Vritomartis -
proved to be a friendly hotel from which most of the touristic highlights were visited suing a rented car.

Brighton (UK)
Due to some construction problems of a building adjacent to our own house, we decided to shortcut our
planned summer holiday. Instead of going south, we crossed the Channel and had an enjoyable stay in
Brighton during the 2005 summer.

Vacation... the best time of the year ;-)
It must have been nearly thirty years ago since we spent our holiday together for the very first time. The shores of some Swiss and
Italian lakes were our destination. During a stay in the French “Gorges du tarn” area we made an excursion to the famous naturist
resort at Cape d’Agde. It was our first nudist experience about which we felt very comfortable.
Very soon, we discovered the charm of camping. At times when our two boys didn’t attend school, we rented a motorhome but as
prices during the summer peak season are exhuberant, we deceided to rent a caravan instead. Back in 2003 we bought our own
second hand caravan.
During the past millennium Scandinavia and Eastern Europe were our main targets. Our passports even included a stamp
from GDR... at those times the iron curtain was still very well in place! Countless stories about heavely garded border
crossings were part of our vacation experiences.
Strangely, we never visited Yugoslavia at times when it was till a unified country. Shortly after the civil war in the area, we
drove to the just independent Slovenia where we spent an enjoyable vacation at Lake Bled. It was hard to believe that just months
before bombs had been dropped in the airport surroundings... A few years later we made another trip to the former Yugoslavia. That time
we went to the Istra peninsula which largely belongs to Croatia. Offeringing a perfect mix of naturist resorts and sighseeing, Istra became our main
travel destinations for years to come.
As a welcome alternation to our trips to Rovinj (Croatian Istra), we also visited Crete Island and Montenegro. Both destinations were booked via
Oböna, a German travel agency specialized in nudist travel.
An exciting citytrip once in a while may tempt us as well ;-)
Below you may read some stories about our recent vacation destinations. Due to his hobby, Egbert makes some trips on
himself as weel, but these are not included below as we only want to focus on our “joint holidays” ;-)
